Screwed Up Pentagon Leadership

The Bible Baptist Church in Carthage, Missouri is a small church filled with pride in America.  It is a very patriotic church.  The church decided to honor their heroes during their annual Vacation Bible School.  On Monday they had paramedics, on Tuesday they had the fire department, on Wednesday they had the Sheriff’s Dept and on Thursday they were to honor the National Guard.  But the Guard did not show up.

The reason given was that military policy was against National Guard troops participating in Vacation Bible School as if National Guard assets wee on church property it would appear that the Guard was sponsoring the Baptist religion.  As they looked into the matter they discovered that it was not a Missouri policy but a policy made at the federal level.

The Army regulation states, “Army participation must not selectively benefit (or appear to benefit) any person, group, or corporation (whether profit or nonprofit); religion, sect, religious or sectarian group, or quasi-religious or ideological movement.”  The policy also provides that troops are to avoid activities that might be viewed as the promotion, endorsement, or sponsorship of any religious or sectarian movement. Really!

This is the same Army that tells non-Muslims in the military to fast during Ramadan or not eat in front of Muslims, which restricts what Christian chaplains can say in their services and which had a military color guard march in Washington D.C.’s gay pride parade.  Looks like the Army is promoting a religion other than Christianity and is promoting an ideological/sectarian parade.  Yet they decide that some 6 year olds in Vacation Bible School in a small Missouri town cannot spend some time with their heroes.

What is the intellectual level of the person who makes these decisions.  Is it the Secretary of Defense or the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs or the Commander in Chief?  Is that person rational? We need to wake up, every day in every way our religious freedom and religious liberty is under attack.  In the military, in the schools, in the government, in the universities.  Where are the children of Issachar? I Chronicles 12:32.
