It’s Late, But Not Too Late

I have been concerned for the last several years with the direction of our country as well as the direction of the church.  By all outward appearances we are ‘going to hell in a hand basket.’  Suddenly  we find ourselves in a society that calls evil good, and good evil. That includes many of our churches today.  They choose to teach a ‘watered down’ gospel to reach the ‘millennials’.  Jesus never watered down his message, he spoke truth and let the chips fall where they may.  Jesus was not as some portray him as a ‘flaming liberal’.  One who would be compassionate to those who commit sin.  He would have pointed out the error of their ways and given them a chance to change. He would not have endorsed their sin.

Paul warned us as he wrote to Timothy, ” This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, truce breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;….But evil men and seducers shall wax worse, deceiving, and being deceived. II Timothy 3:1-4, 13

There are two books I believe every pastor should read as soon as possible. First, The Harbinger by Jonathan Cahn, which I read some time ago and Second, The Mystery of the Shemitah , also by Rabbi Cahn, which I just finished the other day.  These books set forth in vivid detail where we are as a country today and how God may be getting ready to treat us as he treated Israel when they moved away from him.  We need to pray as to how this will impact how we proceed once we have this information.

We are about to have the Supreme Court sanction same sex marriages for our country in direct opposition to the Word of God. We have God being taken out of school programs, crosses being removed from city, county and state seals, students penalized for asking God to bless America, over 50 million plus babies having been killed and now same sex marriage.  What will be next?  Polygamous   marriages, incestuous marriages, marriages with children?

As Christians we need to hit our knees.  We need to do what we know to do. “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”  II Chronicles 7:14.  Where Israel refused the opportunity to repent and were destroyed and exiled, we need to take advantage of the time and seek God’s face.  If we refuse, the blood of this nation will be on our hands.  We can no longer stand idly by, fail to vote, fail to object to what our school systems are doing to get rid of God while educating our children in the religion of Islam.  This nation was founded on Christian principles not on Muslim principles.  We need to object when history is being rewritten, we need to get those books out of our school system and teach our children the basics of how this nation was founded.  As God’s Word says, “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? Psalms 11:3

It is time to take back our schools and set a right foundation for our students so they will learn the truth about the founding of this nation.  Since God was taken from the schools, education has gone down hill.  Young people today have no foundation, they are taught that Israel is bad, that our country, the only beacon of freedom and hope, is bad,  This needs to be corrected but it will not happen unless Christians seek God’s face.

We should remember what President Reagan reminded  us of when he stated “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.”
